Tokyo Holiday Diary 2014 – Part 4

This is the fourth part of my Tokyo Holiday Diary 2014. Today I have a little bit more time to write about the day πŸ™‚

First of all, I have thought for 2 days now that the floor moves a little because I’m so tired and it is just a feeling, but actually this whole island is shaking! Many of my friends noticed the same thing, today morning a couple of girls told that they heard how the objects were rattling against each other and so on. According to, there has been at least three 4-5 magnitude earthquakes today in different depths underground. Pretty exciting again, huh πŸ˜›

Anyhow, today we visited a couple of local life science institutions. I must say that the visits were worth it, as the lectures and presentations we saw were really interesting! At the same time, the local scientists were curious about us, our institutions, research, culture, country and weather πŸ™‚ One fellow seemed to be really amazed as we told how even the big lakes will freeze during the winters and how one can drive by car over the ice πŸ˜€ The stories about ice swimming got also some weird looks. Well, now we have a lot of new friends with the common languages – English and science πŸ™‚

We also had a little break between the two institutions. During the break we went quickly to eat some sushi in the famous Tsukiji fish market! The dish I took was amazing, the fish was so fresh and the dish included many types of ingredients, even roe and squid πŸ™‚ It was also worth it, but we need to get back with better time.

Here is again some photos, first ones are taken during yesterday as we went to the Akihabara, the famous electric town of Tokyo! The colors and sounds felt pretty crazy for this kind of lonely hunter from North πŸ˜€ I bought a really good head phones from Akihabara, but did not find the water proof case for my camera! πŸ˜› The camera model is a little bit old, why I just need to go through more shops and try to search elsewhere. If don’t find one, I cannot took underwater photos if I go to swim in the Pacific ocean! Let’s see what happens. Again, sorry about the non-cropped and adjusted photos, I will finish now and go to sleep. Arigato or something like that πŸ™‚
