Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät – New Life for Eurovision Song Contest

I don’t like Eurovision. Why? Because Eurovision is so damn artificial and ridiculous. It is about monotonic “love” songs with eyelash extensions, superficial people with their sugared choreographies, thinking they have something new and unseen to show. No, same bullshit every year. The low quality of TV programs is the reason why I sold my television many years ago. Oh boy how much I have had life on this side of the screen, instead of having dull time with a television 😀 However, I was really surprised when I heard that the Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät (PKN), a punk band formed by four disabled men, was set to represent Finland in the Eurovision contest 2015. Wow! I haven’t ever seen something so authentic and sincere in Eurovision 😀 I didn’t vote for the PKN, as I didn’t watch their first trial, but I’m so proud that other Finns wanted to sent these guerrillas to shake the overly sweet pop culture. I’m not a big fan of punk though, but the Aina Mun Pitää song is actually quite hilarious, a compact story about boring everyday life. That’s why, GO GO Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät!!! I wish you luck guys! For all the serious and offended people, please continue, as I also like to watch your show ;D

Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät goes to Eurovision

I admit, I copied this cover from PKN’s Facebook page without a permission. I made it for supporting PKN, but I can take it away immediately, just sent a message or comment. Anyhow, good luck! 🙂
